I've always wanted to see the dam that forms Canyon Lake. It can't be seen from any of the roads. As I was looking at pictures from my last hike, I realized that I could probably hike to an area that overlooks the dam. I was able to do that today, and I was also able to hike along a prominent cliff that overlooks Canyon Lake.
