This hike is with Orange County Hiking Club and led by Harish who encourages the hikers to take in their surroundings. He explains that we should experience life as a relationship, a relationship with each other, with nature and with all of our surroundings. This hike starts out moderate and goes into a long accent up Dreaded Hill. It IS quite a climb. We hiked into a box canyon with steep sides when a thunderstorm, rare in these parts especially this time of year, made itself very evident. In the interest of safety, the course was changed so not to be overly exposed to possible lighting strike. The geo track ends abruptly where I rolled my ankle and took a spill, apparently turning off the tracker. My luck with the tracker continues to plague me. All in all this was wonderful hike with a great group of people.
