We met here about 9am, after getting up at 630am and catching the monorail and taxi to get here.
The 630 start was a real problem because our plane had been delayed out of Kuala lumpur last night so we didn't arrive in Bangkok till nearly midnight
ZOOM IN TO REALLY APPRECIATE WHERE WE WENT
This is Eve our backup guide
We rode down a lot of small sois, if you zoom in on the map you will see how narrow they were
Some of the less busy streets
Back in the small sois
We put the bikes on the train and heade out to the country side
View from train
Jan found a good toilet here
These parths were about 110cm wide with a drop into the klong either side, quite scary when a motorbike came the other way.

Eve went past me and stopped for the photo........could have turned around
They even have mail deliveries along the pathway, if you look very carefully you will see Jan in the background she found the width of the path very challenging, she lost her balance on a steep speed hump and nearly fell in
more houses
The locals use a big frame to drop a net into the klong and then lift it out hopefully with a few fish in it
Just pulling his net up, there was one undersize(for us) cat fish in it
Jan and Eve walking the bikes up over the bridge after her chain came off, Hot had it fixed in minutes and we were off again
A lady from Holland riding with her husband
We were riding near rice paddies when we came across this tractor
Had a loverly thai lunch, we had some small fried bits of "chicken", very nice, but very small bones..............then they showed us their frog farm
More Klong shot
Evidently they use this in boc choy salads, quite a few small roped off "plantations" in this area
The temple had 81 smal buddas in all diferent poses
We put the 7 bikes in the boat and head down the klong for a considerable distance
River side shot
WE put all the bikes on the monorail and headed to the main river. Wheeling the bikes up and down escalators made for some interesting comments
More back lanes
WE headed over to Thonburi
From left Eve, Jan, Geoff, Helen and Hot
At times the crowds were so thick the journey just came to a halt
Bangkok bike ride
