This is my cycle training route, which I do several times a week.
I thought I would share it with you to show how picturesque som parts of Peterborough realy are, you nver know it might even quiet some of the Peterborough haters.
The total trip is about 30km (19 mile) and normally takes 1 hour to 1 hour 15 depending on how many people are about (in the way). This trip took longer because I stopped to take photos.
I would love to see more people out enjoying Peterborough so hopefully I might see some of you trying my route.
This track does not have a name, not on a map anyway. It goes through corn fields and a small wooded area on the way to the nature resurve at Hampton Vale.
I don't know the name of this nature resurve. It is owned by the building developers that built the Hampton estate and Serpentine Green shopping centre.
This short section of road was closed off both ends and turned in to a footpath when it was bypassed for the new road layout when the Serpentine Green shopping centre was built.
This is the way I like my main roads to be, well as a cyclist anyway.
This is the lake at Stilwells nature resure. This Nature resurve is also owned by the same developers that built the Hampton estate and Serpentine Green shopping centre.
This is a nice quiet track that trakes you through the woods on the edge of Ferry Meadows, it goes right up behind the Thorpewood Golf Couse, hotel and police station then drops back down in to Ferry Meadows by Gunwade Lake (watersports lake).
I rarely see any poeple using this track, they don't know what they are missing.
