I lost count of the number of fresh produce sellers between the junction and Sabac

Area has lots of area for produce. In August this will be full of cornfields

Sabac is a city of approx 120,000 people

Just before you get to the jamboree site, you have to cross a canal

The main hall is big with a number of tables and chairs that we can use. They will also provide a fridge, gas ring and a tv.

The Kimdergarten has 44 beds

7 bedrooms with 6 beds each (3x bunk bed)

And a single room with 2 beds

There are also toilets and showers

The kindergarten is set in a nice park

there is an overflow building that I believe has a further 11 beds

Whilst we are in Sabac, there will be a regional Jamboree (Fri-Sun dates unknown) that will be in the grounds.

Near to the kindergarten is the building that will house the 2011 Jamboree HQ

Next to the site is a school which will be used to support the 2011 Jamboree as a press centre and Internet cafe

The school has a couple of playing fields/basketball courts

About 1km from the site is a local bar which will be used in 2011 as a function area/Staff bar

Although the site is surrounded by small shops, most of these appear to be little more than soft drink sellers and pekara ( bakers). There are a couple of big supermarkets and there are a couple of minimarts less than 500m from the kindergarten.

There is also a private supermarket a couple of doors down that has an attached BBQ and the owner (ex Scout) has offered to cook meat for us and deliver it to site (Sort of a Serbian takeaway)

There is also a small function room/kids play area above the supermarket

The first restaurant I was taken to was in what I could only describe as an industrial park.

As well as the garden, it has a covered patio area which can accommodate 50-60 people

and an inside room of a similar size. Tables can be configured as we want (ie a big table or lots of smaller tables)

The second restaurant was further away from the site

This is a much bigger restaurant with 2 rooms that could accommodate 100+

It is also much more scenic as it is on the banks of the Sava next to the railway bridge

of interest was the fact that the road was actually a brick road rather than tarmac

The third restaurant visited was in Majur (town that Tijana and Teodora come from) it is about 4km from the kindergarten using back roads

The restaurant is called Cardak (barn) and was where Chris and I had a meal when we visited last year

Inside is a typical ethno house

The owners took us on a tour to see the modern and traditional kitchens

Seating area is a number of small tables but it can easily accommodate 60

We then went to Sabac bus station

where I was able to take photos of all the time-tables (inter city and local)

I stayed in a different hotel from the last time. Rooms were ok but didn't spend much time in them as after the tour, Teodora and I went to Tijana's appartment in Sabac and then in the evening we visited another restoran. This is not big enough to take all of the EB but would be a pleasant venue for a support team evening meal as they cook the food in the corner of the room.
