First ride of 2010 and an opportunity to test the i-gotU GPS logger.
Mid way along the Taff Trail between Cilfynydd and Pontypidd. A dislodged tree in River Taff.

A JCB in a field on a forestry trail between Ynysybwl and Llanwonno.
Looking back (southwards) along a forestry trail between Ynysybwl and Llanwonno.
An option to take a short-cut on the forestry trail - looks rideable from here!
An unexpected flooded section of the short-cut.
Looking back over the short-cut section. The tree stump that marked the beginning of the shortcut can be seen in the distance (see the gap in the tree-line ... on the right hand side)
Another section of flooded ground on the shortcut.
Rejoined the forestry trail and crossed the tarmac road near Llanwonno. This shaded section still has snow on the ground.
Looks as if someone's been stockpiling!
Another uphill section of the Llanwonno Forestry Trail and more unexpected snow.

Looking down towards Cwmaman in the valley below.
Looking back towards the piles of stone used to repair the forestry roads.
Misted glasses - can't see a thing .... "I'm over here!"
First ride of 2010 ... exhausted, tired ... "I wanna go home!".
See the i-gotU GPS device on the left wrist.
A less used track left off the main trail leading back towards Llanwonno.
An erie mist just above the snow covered ground.
Llanwonno Church - on the other side of this church is the gravestone of Guto Nyth Bran.

Last picture ... now travelling towards Graigwen, Pontypridd and home.
