The grain & rings are clearly visible
A large fossilised stump
This ancient trunk was once 35 metres tall
This trunk was nearer 150 high
Curio Bay is almost the southernmost point in NZ
The seaweed tenaciously hangs on
Once a great rain forest floor
Jurassic reminder - felled 170 million years ago
This fossilised tree must be 60 or more metres
A black gull with orange beak
Funny nodding action when they walk
Three of a kind - will look them up when back home
A yellow eyed penguin appeared
Yellow eyes are very rare
The solitary Yellow eyed penguin was posing

Keep 10 metres clear of the Yellow Eye
