On this day I traveled around the city of Nanyang. I had issisted on getting a map on the way to dinner the previous day. It made this days travels much easier.
I first met with my student, Stacy (Tan Ming Yan -- 谭明岩) at the peoples park. From there we went to the old municipal offices (Nanyang Feudal Magistrates Office).
We then rode to the Medical Museum (The Medical Sage Temple). On the way from there we stopped at a prominent war memorial (Liberation Square).
Our next destination was a temple that was, to be gentle, a bit rundown.
The final major stop was the Wolong Hillock. This is one of Chinas 4A historic sites. Chinese legend has it that this is the birthplace of the Han dynasty.
From the description on the ticket (60rmb), "Nanyang Wuhou Temple is located at Wolong in Nanyang City, and is th eplace where Zhuge Liang, the outstanding statesman and strategist of the Three Kingdoms Period, lived and studied. Te well known story of the Three Visits to the Cottage [. . .] happened there. And which is the key relic under the state protection."
I wasn't able to go up into the tower, it was locked. However, I was able to reach through the bars with my camera and get a picture of the upper level.
